| Bio: | Retired behavioral/medical RN. Life is quiet and good. i live solitarily, ghost write, read, and spend entirely too much time with my laptop. born and raised in rural northern california to iowa parents, left home at 17, went to the san francisco bay area, procured an education in the hallowed halls of academia and married a german man i met at berkeley. now divorced, mother of two grown children, christian and jennifer. grandmother of 5. amongst large groups of people, i lose myself. abhor crowds. am both serious and amusing, a mass of contradictions. one thing is a certitude: i love cinema. not mega industry hollywood formulaic genres, i mean 'dr. strangelove,' 'paths of glory,' ''godfathers 1 and 2' anything by ingmar bergman, schlondorf, kurosawa. for endorphin therapy, 'joe dirt,' 'airplane,' 'the big lebowski,' 'clerks,' assorted other off-beat stuff. solitude is important to me. the best times of my life have been spent in the deep wilderness or on the open sea where there is no escape from self reliance and aloneness. as author, norman maclean: 'i am haunted by water.' the same for mountains, sky, music, and the written word. i am nothing special, an empty name, too much mind in a word filled brain, a false face, a sack of skin filled with blood guts and bones...and that is as it should be. no problem.
